Create and manage warranty templates for your repairs and products.
Warranties
Warranty templates define the terms you offer on your repairs and products. Create templates once, then attach them to jobs or products as needed.
Access warranties from Warranties in the sidebar.
Creating a Warranty Template
- Click Add Template
- Fill in:
- Name — e.g., "90-Day Parts Warranty" or "1-Year Screen Repair"
- Duration (days) — how long the warranty lasts (e.g., 90, 180, 365)
- Terms / Description — what's covered, what's not
- Active — whether this template is available for use
- Click Create
Duration Display
TechsBox automatically converts days into a readable format:
| Days | Displays As |
|---|---|
| 30 | 1 month |
| 90 | 3 months |
| 180 | 6 months |
| 365 | 1 year |
| 730 | 2 years |
You can enter any number of days — TechsBox picks the most readable label.
Active vs. Inactive
- Active templates are available to attach to new jobs and products
- Inactive templates are hidden from selection but preserved for historical records
Toggle a template's status by editing it and checking/unchecking the Active checkbox.
Editing & Deleting
- Click the pencil icon on a template card to edit it
- Click the trash icon to delete it (you'll be asked to confirm)
ℹ️
Warranty templates are reusable — define them once and apply them across your shop. Common setups include a 90-day labor warranty and a 1-year parts warranty.
