Good communication is what separates great repair shops from mediocre ones. TechsBox helps you keep customers in the loop automatically.

Email Notifications

Email notifications are included on all plans. TechsBox sends emails automatically when:

  • A new job is created (confirmation to the customer)
  • A job status changes (e.g., "Your device is ready for pickup")
  • An invoice is sent
  • An appointment is confirmed or rescheduled
  • A payment is received

Customizing Email Templates

  1. Go to Settings → Templates
  2. Select the notification type you want to customize
  3. Edit the subject and body
  4. Use template variables like {{customer_name}}, {{job_status}}, {{shop_name}}
  5. Save

SMS Notifications

SMS notifications are available on Team and Pro plans. They require a Twilio account.

Messages

The Messages page in the sidebar shows all communication sent to and from customers:

  • Email history
  • SMS history
  • Delivery status (sent, delivered, failed)

Use the Messages page to quickly check if a customer received their notification, especially useful when they say "I never got the text."
