Pre-built templates for common repair types to speed up job creation.
Job Templates
Job Templates let you pre-fill common repair details so you're not typing the same thing over and over. Create a template once for "iPhone Screen Replacement" or "Laptop Diagnostics," then use it whenever you create a new job.
Access templates from Job Templates in the sidebar, or from Settings → Job Templates.
Creating a Template
- Click New Template
- Fill in:
- Template Name (required) — e.g., "iPhone Screen Replacement"
- Equipment — the device type (e.g., "iPhone 15 Pro Max")
- Problem Description — what the customer typically reports
- Internal Notes — reminders for your team (e.g., "Order OEM display from Vendor X")
- Type — In-Shop or On-Site
- Click Create Template
Template Fields
| Field | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Name | Identifies the template in the list |
| Equipment | Pre-fills the device field on new jobs |
| Problem | Pre-fills the problem description |
| Notes | Pre-fills internal notes |
| Type | Sets whether the job is In-Shop or On-Site |
In-Shop vs. On-Site
- In-Shop — the customer drops off the device at your shop. These jobs appear on the Bench.
- On-Site — you go to the customer's location. These are managed from the Jobs list.
Using Templates
When creating a new job, select a template to auto-fill the equipment, problem, notes, and job type. You can still edit any field after applying the template.
Editing & Deleting
- Hover over a template card and click the pencil icon to edit
- Click the trash icon to delete (you'll be asked to confirm)
ℹ️
Templates save the most time for repairs you do often. If you're doing 10 iPhone screen replacements a week, a template turns a 2-minute job creation into 10 seconds.
