techsbox vs Workiz
Workiz shows you three plans and a button that says request pricing. The only figure on the page is what each extra person costs. techsbox publishes what it charges, starts at $15/mo, and does not bill you by the head.

“Not published” means their pricing page does not state it, so neither do we. It is not a claim that the feature is missing. There are more of these here than on our other comparisons, because Workiz publishes less than any other tool we have written one about.
What it costs as you hire
This is the table we would normally fill in for both sides. We cannot fill in theirs. Workiz publishes no price for Standard, Pro or Ultimate, and does not say how many people a plan includes before the per person charge starts, so there is no sum that produces an answer. We are not going to invent one and put it next to their name.

Read from their pricing page on 2026-08-14. Third party sites do quote Workiz prices, and they disagree with each other by more than a hundred dollars a month, so none of them are used here.
The core difference: you can see our price right now
Every tier says request pricing
Standard, Pro and Ultimate each carry a button that takes you to a demo booking form. Nothing on the page says what any of them cost per month or per year. For a two person shop deciding on a Tuesday afternoon, a call with a salesperson is not research, it is a commitment you make before you have a number.
The one price they publish is the price of hiring
Their small print says an extra member costs $55 a month on Standard and $65 on Pro, both quoted on annual billing. That is per person, on top of a base price you have to ask for. Our whole Team plan is $49/mo and it does not count people at all, so one extra technician on their cheaper tier costs more than our entire bill.
Automations are counted, and counted things run out
Standard includes 5 automations and Pro doubles it. Nothing in techsbox is metered that way. The things a shop repeats every day, texting a customer when the job is done, are part of the plan rather than a budget you spend down.
They are built for trucks, we are built for a bench
Workiz is field service software. Service areas, dispatching and getting a crew to an address are what it is for, and it does them properly. A repair shop is the other shape: the device comes to you, sits on a shelf for three days waiting on a part, and the hard part is knowing where everything is. That is the problem techsbox was built around.
They ship a quoting document and we do not
Workiz lists estimates alongside jobs and invoices. techsbox has no estimate model: you price the work on the job and raise an invoice from it, and there is no separate document a customer approves first. If a signed estimate before every job is how you work, that is a real reason to choose them over us.
When Workiz is the right choice
If your work happens at the customer’s address rather than on your bench, Workiz is the better fit and it is not close. Sending a crew to a job, drawing service areas and running a phone system around all of it is what they built. They also hand a customer a document to approve before the work starts, which we do not. Not knowing their price until you book a demo is an annoyance, not a disqualification, and a larger company with a procurement process will not mind it at all. If you are one or two people who want to know what something costs before spending half an hour on a call, that is the whole objection, and it is the reason this page exists.
