techsbox vs RepairCMS

RepairCMS is a repair system built for the German-speaking market, billed in euro, with data on German servers and the fiscal rules to match. Their tiers include one, two or three people, and everyone after that is EUR 25/mo. techsbox starts at $15/mo and headcount is not part of the bill.

We are not going to convert their prices for you

RepairCMS publishes in euro and we publish in dollars. Any dollar figure we printed next to theirs would be an exchange rate we picked on the day we wrote this, and it would be wrong by the time you read it. So their numbers stay in euro and ours stay in dollars. If the price is close enough that the rate decides it, look it up today rather than trusting a comparison page, ours included.

“Not published” means we did not find it stated on their own pages, so we do not state it either. It is not a claim that the feature is missing.

What it costs as you hire

RepairCMS sells tiers and seats separately. Starter at EUR 32/mo holds 1 person, Business at EUR 77/mo holds 2, Team at EUR 110/mo holds 3, and every person past your tier’s count is EUR 25/mo whichever tier you are on. So the tiers buy features and the seat rate buys people, and the two do not move together.

Read from their pricing page on 2026-09-05. Every row is their cheapest published way to seat that many people, which at every size above one is Starter plus seats rather than a higher tier: their tier steps are bigger than the seats they include. That is the fair number to put against ours, and it is not what a shop wanting their Team features would pay. Their monthly prices are compared against our monthly price, and the annual figures on both sides are left out for the same reason.

The core difference: they price people, we do not

Every person past the first three is EUR 25/mo, on every tier

Their seat rate does not go down as you move up. Starter includes 1 person, Business 2, Team 3, and the 25 euro charge applies the same on all of them. A shop with an owner and three techs is past the top of every tier they publish. On techsbox the same $49/mo covers your second technician and your twentieth, and the Saturday kid who only does screen protectors does not cost you anything to give an account to.

Their top plan starts at a number rather than being one

Starter, Business and Team all carry a published price. Enterprise does not: their page says "from" and leaves it there, because the real figure depends on how many locations you run, at EUR 110/mo for each one past the first. That is honest of them and it is still a sales call. Every techsbox plan has its price on the pricing page, second location included, and you can read all three without talking to anyone.

Neither of us counts your tickets, and that is worth saying

Most of the comparisons on this site turn on a meter: a ticket cap, an invoice cap, a jobs-per-month allowance that resets. RepairCMS publishes none of those, and we do not have any either. If you are leaving a system because a busy December cost you more, both of us solve that. The argument between us is about headcount, not volume.

They ship quotes and we do not

Their pricing page leads on quote management with one-click customer approval. We do not have a quote or estimate document you send a customer to sign off. We price the work on a job, which is internal, and that is a different thing. If getting written approval before you open the device is how you run the bench, that is a real reason to pick them and we are not going to bury it in a footnote.

They are built for German fiscal rules and we are not

TSE and RKSV compliance, German cloud hosting, invoicing that satisfies German and Austrian requirements, and a cash register through an integration built for that market. If you are running a shop in Germany, Austria or Switzerland, that is not a feature comparison, it is a legal one, and it settles the question before price is even involved.

What we do that they do not publish

A public shop page on your own subdomain that customers can find, text message updates on the Team plan, QuickBooks sync and search across your own work history on Pro. And a bill you can predict: the number does not move when you hire, when you open a second bench, or when the repairs pile up.

When RepairCMS is the right choice

If your shop is in Germany, Austria or Switzerland, pick them. Fiscal compliance is not something you work around with a good workflow, invoicing in your own currency under your own rules is worth more than any row in the table above, and data on German servers is a question we cannot answer at all. The same goes if you need a signed quote before the work starts, or if you sell parts to trade customers and want a portal for them. The case for techsbox is the shop that keeps hiring: no charge per technician, no cap on tickets, a second location included, and a price you can read without booking a call.

Hiring should not move your software bill.
