techsbox vs CellSmart POS
CellSmart POS is a register for phone and electronics stores, with a repair module, loyalty and a time clock built in. It starts at $139/mo for three logins, and every plan requires their card processing agreement. techsbox is repair tracking first, starts at $15/mo, and you can take cards through your own Stripe account or not take cards through us at all.

“Not published” means we did not find it stated on their own pages, so we do not state it either. It is not a claim that the feature is missing.
What it costs as you hire
CellSmart sells three plans and the login count is what separates them. Starter at $139/mo allows 3 employee logins and one store, Growth at $169/mo allows 5, and Premium at $199/mo is unlimited. They publish no price for a single extra login, so the way to add a fourth person is to move up a plan.

Read from their build and price page on 2026-10-28. Software only on both sides: their terminals, printers, scanners and cash drawers are quoted privately, so no hardware figure appears here. Their card processing rate is not published either, so neither side’s processing cost is in these totals.
The core difference: a register that repairs, or a repair system that does not need a register
Their processing comes with the software
Every CellSmart plan says it "Requires CellSmart POS processing agreement (includes free pinpad)". The free pinpad is real, and so is the trade: the software price on their page is the price with their processor attached, and the processing rate itself is not published. On techsbox, card payments are something you switch on, through a Stripe account in your own name, at 3.4% + 30¢ on Team and 2.9% + 30¢ on Pro. Cash and check payments are recorded on the invoice with no processor involved at all, and leaving us does not mean leaving a processing contract.
$139/mo is the floor, and it holds three logins
A fourth person means Growth at $169/mo, and a sixth means Premium at $199/mo. Those are fair prices for what is mostly a retail register. If what you actually need is to check devices in, track the repair and get paid for it, Team at $49/mo covers the whole bench, and a one-person shop on Solo pays $15/mo.
They sell a register and we do not
CellSmart is built around the counter: product sales, loyalty points, a time clock, and hardware to run it on. We do not have a register for walk-in retail. Every sale on techsbox hangs off a repair job. If half your revenue is cases and chargers sold across the counter, that is a real reason to pick them and we are not going to hide it in a footnote.
One store per account here
Their Growth and Premium plans hold more than one store. We do not have that. A second shop on techsbox is a second account on its own plan, with its own customers and inventory, and nothing is reported across the two.
What we do that they do not publish
A customer portal where people check their own repair status, a public shop page on your own subdomain that customers can find, a scheduling calendar for drop-offs, and search across your own work history on Pro. A 14 day trial with no card, and a price on the pricing page that does not need a quote.
When CellSmart POS is the right choice
If you run a phone store where repairs sit beside a wall of accessories, and the counter matters as much as the bench, pick them. A register with loyalty, a time clock and hardware from one vendor is worth more than any row in the table above, and if you already want their processing, the agreement costs you nothing extra. The same goes if you run several stores and want them on one account. The case for techsbox is the shop whose revenue is the repair itself: a lower bill, no processor you have to sign with, and a price you can read without asking for a quote.
