techsbox vs Orderry
Orderry is priced by the head, and its cheapest plan stops at two people. techsbox charges for the shop, not the payroll: take on a third tech, a Saturday helper or an apprentice, and your bill is the same number it was last month.

What it costs as you hire
Orderry is quoted here at their own cheapest configuration for each headcount, including moving up a tier when that beats buying seats. Ours is flat: the only step is Solo to Team when there is more than one of you, and after that it does not move again.
| People | techsbox | Orderry |
|---|---|---|
| Just you | $15/moSolo | $39/moHobby |
| 2 people | $49/moTeam | $39/moHobby |
| 3 people | $49/moTeam | $69/moStartup |
| 5 people | $49/moTeam | $81/moStartup, 2 paid seats |
| 15 people | $49/moTeam | $141/moStartup, 12 paid seats |
| 16 people | $49/moTeam | $216/moBusiness, 13 paid seats |
Orderry figures are their published monthly rates, read from their pricing page on 2026-08-10. Their page offers an annual saving but publishes no discounted figure, so this compares monthly against monthly.
The core difference: your headcount is not our business
Their cheap plan cannot grow with you
Hobby is $39/mo and covers 2 people. Their page is explicit that it "cannot be extended", so the third person is not a seat you buy, it is a different plan. Hiring one apprentice takes you to $69/mo, and nothing about your shop changed except that someone new is answering the phone.
A seat costs a different amount depending on what you already pay
Orderry charges $6 a head on Startup, $9 on Business and $19 on Enterprise, so the more you already spend the more each additional person costs. On techsbox there is no per-user line at all on Team or Pro. The bill you agreed to is the bill you keep paying.
There is a ceiling on the plan you are on
Startup holds 15 employees. At the 16th you are not offered another seat, you are moved to Business, and the arithmetic that would have been cheaper is simply not for sale. Growth should not be a series of walls.
A second location is another line on the invoice
Opening a second address costs $49 a month on Startup and $79 on Business, on top of the people. techsbox does not meter locations, so the second bench costs what the first one did.
Point of sale is theirs, and we do not have one
Orderry runs a till, cash shifts and counter sales. If most of your day is selling accessories across a counter and reconciling a drawer at close, they do something we do not. We track the repair, invoice it and take payment online. Buy the right tool.
When Orderry is the right choice
If you sell a lot over a counter and need a real point of sale with cash shifts, or you run a large team and want deep per-employee payroll and performance reporting, Orderry is built for that and we are not. Their per-employee pricing also stops being much of an objection once your headcount is stable. If you are one or two people who expect to become three or four, paying by the head is a tax on hiring.
